The Professional School of Psychology
Based in Sacramento, California, USA, the
Professional School of Psychology (PSP) is a
distinctive graduate school that emphasizes
high quality yet affordable education for
mature, accomplished adults and experienced
human service professionals from all regions of
the world. Through its unique Residential and
Tutorial modes of graduate education at the
Masters Degree and Doctoral Degree levels,
PSP effectively serves those who face the
challenge of working full-time and meeting substantive family responsibilities. Under its authorization
from the State of California, PSP offers Clinical and Organizational Masters Degree programs and
Doctoral Degree programs in both Clinical and Organizational Psychology. Instructional models vary
from a traditional Residential Format for the Clinical Masters Program to a highly innovative Tutorial
Format for all other programs. PSP also plays a leading role in the evolving field of Organizational
Coaching and its various derivatives.

Senior Course Tutor - Haim Weinberg, Ph.D.
Haim Weinberg, PhD, is a clinical psychologist licensed both in Israel and
California (PSY23243), a group analyst, and a Certified Group
Psychotherapist (USA), who moved to California, USA, in 2006. For the
past 25 years he has worked as a clinical psychologist, providing
individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy, as well as
supervising interns and junior psychologists.
Currently, he is the president-elect of the Northern California Group
Psychotherapy Society (NCGPS). He is past-president of the Israeli
Association of Group Psychotherapy. He teaches at the Wright Institute,
Berkeley and at the Alliant International University, Sacramento. A faculty member of the group
facilitators training program in Tel-Aviv University, ex-director of the group leaders training program in
Bet Berl College, and also in private practice. A member of the Board of the International Association of
Group Psychotherapy (IAGP), prestigious award of Fellow of The American Group Psychotherapy
Association (AGPA) and a member of the Group Analytic Society (GAS).
Haim has conducted workshops, lectured and presented in local and international conferences (85
presentations since 1985), participating and presenting in the AGPA annual meetings for the last 12
years, and leading the Large Group there lately. He co-chaired several Israeli conferences on group
therapy, the annual Institute conference of the NCGPS, and the Scientific Program Committee of the
International Conference of Group Psychotherapy of the IAGP in Brazil, 2006.
Haim Weinberg published 26 papers, 6 chapters in books (in English, Portuguese and Dutch), and co-
edited a book on the Large Group, a special issue of Group Analysis about trauma groups, and a special
issue of GROUP about the Large Group. He now co-edits a 3 volume series about the Social
Unconscious. On the Internet he moderates the group psychotherapy discussion list which connects
practitioners interested in groups from 35 countries for the past 14 years with a membership of 400
members. Haim completed his PhD studies in the Manchester Metropolitan University about Groups,
their Cultures, and the Internet Unconscious.
His professional interests lie in the areas of group processes and group therapy, multicultural issues,
conflict resolution, trauma groups, Large Groups and the Social Unconscious.

Experts in group psychotherapy and related subjects from around the world are also involved in the
delivery of our program. In addition, we employ highly qualified, experienced local staff for training,
workshops and supervision in our students' locations. Local instructors in Israel are Dr. Sarah Avni, Dr.
Raz Even, Dr. Robi Friedman, Dr. Shulamit Geler, Dr. Jacinto Inbar, Dr. Gila Ofer and Dr. Benni Wagner.
Dr. Bill Bergquist, President of the Professional School of Psychology is also an instructor.

psychotherapy is run by the Professional School
